The caption to the picture, posted on Imgur in 2012. It reads: “I’m no father…but I do love [my dog] as a daughter.” Pet owners can relate. However, not many have seen a photo like this. This yellow lab was about to jump into the summer pool, but it looks like the photographer captured her as if she were walking on water.
Labrador retrievers are genetically predisposed to love water. The Labrador Retriever was bred to swim and retrieve waterfowl. Their ancestor, St. John’s Water Dog, is their genetic ancestor.
