Their lives were forever changed. Even though it’s difficult to deal with animals that are injured, this situation was worse because the people didn’t anticipate it. What happened to the creature that they found in the forest?
Face the Wolf
John Oens’ day began like many others. When he was inspecting his traps, he discovered something unexpected. Instead of a large coyote, he saw a huge timber wolf trying to escape from its chains.
Plan your strategy
John realized he couldn’t abandon the wolf. The animal might die of exposure. The trap could still capture small animals, as it was toothless. The wolf was not able to escape. John had to find a way to release him.
The Dangerous Creature
Once they are free, they are not happy. A lone, unaccompanied wolf will not attack humans. A wolf trapped in a cage can be aggressive. John would have to be careful if he freed the animal as it may not have known that he is there to help.
