Rosalynd Harris is a Washington waitress who works two jobs in order to pay her college tuition. Rosalynd was working in Washington at Busboys and Poets during the busiest weekend. A group of Texans with red hats walked into the establishment. The relaxed and artistic atmosphere of the restaurant made them stand out. It is a popular place for artists and civil rights activists to gather. Rosalynd was concerned that they were searching for trouble. The weekend was emotional across the country.
Nervous
She was initially nervous and hoped they wouldn’t be a problem for her or other customers. She would soon discover if she relied on her gut instincts, or if it was based on what she thought of the men. Rosalynd wasn’t the only one to experience trouble in her restaurant. These men were frightening and intimidating on a whole other level.
