A Misunderstanding
The two finally caught-up after all that they had been through. They laughed and exchanged pleasantries, but soon a serious topic would come up. Some of their supporters seemed to have missed what they were trying to say. During their conversation, they both agreed that many people misunderstood the story. What would they do to clarify the confusion?
It’s not about Race
Rosalynd and Jason weren’t happy with how many people interpreted their tale. Rosalynd hoped that people would not interpret the story as a man helping a girl of color, but rather that it was an act of kindness and compassion that came out from a place within. Jason agreed that the story wasn’t about him or Rosalynd. He wanted to demonstrate that kindness could come from anywhere.
