Wayne’s tips and tricks for building the perfect bunker included adding handrails to the stairs. This would increase safety. This is a great idea! It is particularly important if you live in an area where the weather can be very cold and the ice may make the stairs slippery.
Wayne said it would be better to add a little overhang above entrance. The elements outside could cause the stairs to become icy or rainwater may fill the hole. The overhang will also keep animals away from the walkway.
