The cafe
Emma ran to the café and down the stairs. She looked around and saw no sign of Sarah or Lily. However, she went into the cafe to ask the owner whether he had seen either one walk by.
Maybe he can tell her where they went! He had seen nothing that could have helped her.
No Help
She was disappointed but was determined to keep searching. She was only just beginning her search! She knew exactly what she would do next. She was going to ask the neighbors if they had seen anything.
It was a quiet street, and people would have noticed if she had been walking with a young girl.
