Unhelpful boss
She called her boss Mark and told him what happened. Unfortunately, he was harsh. I don’t really care what you decide to do. Just figure it out. She was disappointed but not surprised.

Lily is not left alone
She still had to make a plan. She had brought Sam to daycare. Emma was not comfortable leaving Lily home alone, even though Lily didn’t have school today.
