Texting her father
She texted her dad to meet at her home the next day. She received a reply from her father within minutes. He said he would attend, but was curious as to why she had asked to meet so soon.
Jane assured him that he didn’t need to worry and she had something to share with him.
Looking back
She thought about the first time she brought Tom home as she snuggled with Tom in bed. She remembered the dinner with her family and how they laughed behind her back. They judged Tom without knowing him.
Tomorrow, her father will hear the truth.
