See the daylight
The light started to filter into the tunnel and they felt a sense of relief. Chris shouted to Emma and Tommy, “Don’t slow down! We’re almost there!”
Their hearts were pounding as they burst out of the tomb.
The relief of being back outside
The trembling, breathless men emerged from the tomb with their minds racing. Who had locked up the doors? What voices could they hear? When they realized they had survived, they were still trying to catch their breath.
They were still afraid, but were relieved that they could breathe the fresh air and sunlight.
