Jerry Lewis was stalked for years by an unknown stranger
Jerry was not responsible for all the drama in his life. He was blameless for some of the drama, like the time when he was stalked. According to reports, the comedian received a blunt letter that made him fearful. Lewis called the police even though there wasn’t much written on the piece of paper.
It was fortunate for him that the person who signed the letter had been identified. This made it easy to track down the culprit. This guy stalked Jerry for many years. He was in and out prisons and mental hospitals during this time. According to reports, the incident above occurred in 2000. However, he had previously admitted to stalking Jerry as early as 1995.
Lewis was born into a family of performers, but he didn’t spend much time with them.
Jerry’s life was not without its drama. The comedian had a difficult childhood, and it seems that these low moments began early in his life. Lewis was raised in a family full of entertainers, his parents were a duo who sang, danced, played the piano and wowed audiences.
It’s easy to understand how Jerry became the comedy star he is today. He didn’t get to see much of his parents as a child. Jerry was often dropped off at relatives’ homes while his parents went to perform. This made him feel like “a dummy and a misfit.”
