Hope Holiday and other women experienced similar incidents as Jerry
Sharpe is not the only woman to have accused Jerry of inappropriate behavior after his death. In February 2022 Vanity Fair published an article detailing the stories of seven women, who claimed to have experienced inappropriate encounters with Lewis during the 1960s. The stories were not that different, and Hope Holiday’s story was similar to Sharpe’s.
Jerry reportedly locked her up in his dressing-room while filming ‘The Ladies Man’. He then spoke and behaved inappropriately in front of her. Hope is said to have hit her co star the next day, causing him to leave set. Jerry would not speak to Hope again after her return.
The second marriage took place a few months after the divorce, and it was a more successful one.
It’s not surprising that Patti ended things with Jerry, given how many times he had been unfaithful. Lewis’ desire to marry despite his playing the field is surprising. SanDee Pittnick became his new love after his relationship with Palmer ended.
The couple married a few years after Jerry’s divorce. They had first met on the set of ‘Hardly Working’. A decade later they adopted Danielle, and were a stable family. The talk of infidelity which followed Jerry’s first marriage seems to have disappeared the second time. Maybe that’s the reason he and Pitnick remained together after the comedian died in 2017?
