Filing for Custody
In October 2018, Jon then filed for both legal and physical custody of Collin. Kate had sent Collin to an inpatient facility in 2016 and Jon argued that it would be best for Collin to live with Jon after his release. Jon was granted custody of Collin in December 2018. He was soon released from the facility and returned to Jon’s home.
No More Communication
By the end of 2018 Jon and Kate had stopped speaking to each other. They only communicate when absolutely necessary through their attorneys.
