Human face on the surface
People were quick to notice a formation in one of the Viking 1 and 2 photos that looked like a face. This is one the most well-known “faces” on the surface Mars.
Images were low-resolution. After a higher-resolution photo was taken to get a better look at the area, it was discovered that it was a mountain.
Blueberry rocks
These spherical bluish rocks on the surface of Mars have baffled scientists. The rocks are spherical and look like blueberries. NASA experts are still trying their best to determine what these blueberry-like stones are.
Could these be rocks instead? NASA disproves this theory, stating that the spherical rock has different structures, concentrations and distributions.
