She was puzzled that his mother had not told him about the situation. They were in constant contact, so she couldn’t imagine why he didn’t know.
She was puzzled why her mother had not brought the topic up to him. They were in such close contact, it seemed that she would have. She was baffled as to why he seemed to be so unaware of the situation. Or was it really? Was it possible that he already knew her plan?
Family Gathering
Larry has visited his family three times since she first spoke to her mother last week. Larry did not invite Barbara to the family gathering, which lasted all evening. It was strange that Barbara’s text and her wedding invitation were not mentioned.
She flipped it back and forth in her mind, imagining different scenarios. She knew that she should not let her emotions overwhelm her. She had a wedding to attend. She couldn’t help wondering if she had contacted them at all.
