Larry had a good time
Barbara felt increasingly dejected but was determined to not tell Larry. Larry was having a good time and believed that everything went according to plan. The party seemed to be going well and everyone was having a great time.
Larry was unaware that others were supposed to attend the party. It was getting harder to hide her disappointment. She was still thinking about Larry’s family, despite the party. She would have to let go of the past and enjoy her night with Larry.
Barbara gave up
Barbara was disappointed when she learned that Larry’s parents would not be able to attend the wedding. Although sad, Barbara was determined that the event must go ahead as planned.
She put aside her emotions and joined her friends around a table standing, determined to make her special day the best it could be. She was determined that she would enjoy it to the fullest, no matter what. She finally allowed herself to be present at the event and enjoy it. It was the first time all day that she seemed to have done so. They had a wedding party!
