Calling the family doctor
Barbara wanted to contact Larry’s family. She thought the best option was to call the emergency contact listed on his medical records. She hoped that the doctor would be able provide the information she needed.
She was sure that this would be a good way to communicate with Larry’s parents. Would the doctor provide the information she required? After all, it’s private. Technically, she is not yet a member of the family. She’s probably going to be denied, but since she’s come this far she should try.
The family doctor’s explanation to her
Barbara made up an excuse for telling the doctor to get the information she needed. She said that she was updating Larry’s contact information because they were getting married soon and she needed to ask the person where they registered.
Barbara’s request was made to her doctor with a sense of urgency. She hoped that the doctor would grant her wish and give her the information she required.
