Nest building
Bonny’s anger was replaced by awe as soon as she saw what her daughters had done. Giselle, Mary and the hay and straw from the barn were brought to the eggs. They then built nests around them.
Bonny was surprised by the girls’ behavior.
Proud Hans
Bonny was moved by this and instead of yelling at her daughters, she thanked them for caring so well for the eggs. Hans winked to his wife, “They’ll be great farmers one day.”
Hans was especially proud of his girls. But this moment of joy turned to sadness after hearing an angry crack ….
