Mary was sad
Mary’s reaction was unexpected. She was not happy at all. Instead, she became very sad and began to cry. She didn’t like her eggs breaking. Her mother explained everything to her as best she could, because she was too young to understand.
Mary is not feeling well.
Bonny tried explaining it but in vain. Mary was brought inside to take care of the kitten. It was a good thing that the kitten needed to be fed at any moment, but Hans had no idea what could have been inside those eggs.
