Losing precious time
She stopped, listening carefully, and saw a movement out of the corner of her eyes. Sarah’s heart raced while she carefully made her way on her hands and her knees through the underbrush.
When she saw the creature for the second time, she was shocked.
A close look
Sarah saw the creature huddled together in a small clearing with a litter. She was sure that the police would find the animals and their babies and couldn’t stand the idea of them being taken or hurt.
She made the hard decision to bring the creature and the babies to her house, where she would be able to protect them.
