Playtime
Playtime is one of the greatest movies to be produced in France. The story is based on the clumsy Monsieur Hulot who has been affected by the terrifying and turbulent world of corporate organisations. It’s a comedy film from 1967 that was directed by Jacques Tati.
Tati plays Monsieur Hulot. This well-known character played a major role in his previous films Mon Oncle, and Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot. Tati appears in Playtime, both in the lead role and in supporting roles. The film’s directness and message won the hearts of both the public and critics.
Rebecca
Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca is one his most famous films. A wealthy widower marries Rebecca, a woman. The marriage is put under stress when the namesake of her husband dies.
Joan Fontaine is the young woman Maxim de Winter that Laurence Olivier portrays on screen. She marries him after his first spouse mysteriously dies. Maxim de Winter, an aristocratic and moody widower, is the main character. The story is influenced by his former wife, even though she never appears in the foreground. Mrs. Danvers is the housekeeper at Maxim and she never let the couple forget her after they got married.
