City Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana
City Methodist Church, built in 1926 with donations from U.S. Steel. Gary, Indiana is the birthplace of Michael Jackson! It was an amazing site with nine stories and stained glass. The steel industry declined in 1975, and the factory was closed. It was featured in movies like Transformers Dark of the Moon, and Nightmare on Elm Street.
Lake Reschen Bell Tower, South Tyrol, Italy
The Lake Reschen Bell Tower in South Tyrol is the last visible remnant of several villages built in Italy. Montecatini was an Italian electric company that built a dam in 1940 to unite the two lakes. In order to build the dam, the villages were intentionally inundated. This tower is the only visible part.
