Sarajevo Olympic Village, Bosnia And Herzegovina
Sarajevo was the host city for the 1984 Olympic Winter Games, as it is well-known for its natural beauty and skiing facilities. The area, which was affected by the Balkan War, is now completely abandoned. Graffiti has covered the graffiti. Since then, however, a number of modern venues, such as condos, hotels and a $12.7m ski lift, have appeared.

SS Ayrfield Shipwreck in Sydney, Australia
Homebush Bay was a major industrial area in Sydney during the early 20th century. The waters of Homebush Bay were contaminated with toxic coal and crude oil before the 2000 Olympics. A popular suburb, it still has remnants from its past. One of these is the SS Ayrfield wreckage, which is now overgrown by mangrove trees.
