NRG Astrodome
The NRG Astrodome, built in 1962, was overseen by Houston’s Mayor Roy Hofheinz. It was the home of three of Houston’s sporting teams and even housed survivors of Hurricane Katrina. However, by 2008 it had been permanently shut down. It has been completely abandoned and parts of it have been destroyed.

Burj Al Babas
Burj Al Babas, located between Istanbul and Ankara on the Turkish coast, broke ground in 2014. The development was designed to encourage buyers to buy vacation homes in the area. The $200 million project ended in bankruptcy and left the developers with a debt of $25 million by 2018. The project cost $200 million and ended in bankruptcy, leaving the developers with $25 million in debt by 2018.
