Mayan Ancient City Tikal
Guatemala is home to the ancient Mayan city Tikal, which is considered one of the world’s largest archaeological sites. In the Late Classical period, Tikal began to fall and its population started to decrease. It was abandoned by the 10th century. However, the remains were left so that archeologists and history can learn more about this ancient civilization.
Underwater Sculpture Park
For just $2, you can visit the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park in Grenada. These sculptures were designed by Jason deCarires Taylor and have been in place since 2006. The underwater figures give the attraction a spooky feel, even though it isn’t deserted.
