Eastern State Penitentiary
Eastern State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia, was first opened in 1829. It housed 400 prisoners until 1877. Although it closed in 1971, the Eastern State Penitentiary remains a popular tourist destination. Al Capone, Willie Sutton and other famous criminals were kept here.
