Giving his area a personality
Breaux has every right to be proud of his creative home. He doesn’t live in a historic part of Houston, but rather one of the grayest. Breaux thinks that his funhouse injects personality into the neighborhood, breaking the monotony. It is not wrong to add some personality in an area where all the other buildings are bland highrises.
Breaux’s house might be enough for some people to visit an area of Houston they would otherwise not have visited. The Texas man does not change the aesthetics or history of his neighborhood but he adds some history to McGowen Street.
