Paper bags can easily catch fire when heated in the microwave
Paper, like metal, is something you don’t want in your microwave. So, we must remove all food from the paper bags prior to microwaving. The heat and radio waves can cause the paper bag to catch on fire. The entire microwave could catch fire.

If you are going to heat something up that was in a bag, make sure you remove it first. You can then transfer it to a container that is microwave safe. No one wants to fight fires while they could be enjoying some tasty takeout.
The bacteria that is removed by cleaning sponges in a microwave may not be all.
Over the years, there have been many tips and tricks that claim microwaving kitchen sponges can keep them clean. Experts disagree. The high temperature in the microwave may be able to kill some bacteria but it is unlikely to eliminate all of them, which could make the problem worse.

Then you’ll be cleaning your kitchen surfaces with a sponge that is full of bacteria, and not actually cleaning anything. It is best to soak a sponge in antibacterial solution or bleach. The majority of bacteria and germs will be removed, making your sponge safe to use again.
