Batteries shouldn’t be near microwaves
We have no idea why anyone would consider putting batteries into a microwave. All we can say is to not do it. Even if you believe the jokers on social networks, putting batteries in a microwavable can be dangerous. A few seconds in a microwave can destroy the battery, and possibly also your appliance.
Batteries are prone to exploding and leaving a toxic mess behind, regardless of the type. Never put batteries in the microwave, whether they are from your remote control or your cell phone. The fact that it could explode is enough to scare you if the toxic, highly dangerous mess doesn’t.
Rubber that is microwave safe should only be marked as such.
Some rubbers are designed for microwaves. However, there are many rubber products which shouldn’t be used in them. If a product says it’s microwave-safe, then you should use that product. Some microwave-safe items have rubber seals that are fine to use in your appliance.
Rubber is not microwave safe if it’s not marked. Rubber bands will melt when placed in a microwave. Remove any rubber bands from food packaging before you microwave it.
