Microwaves are great for reheating food that you’ve already prepared.
The majority of people purchase a microwave to be able to cook quick and simple meals. Most grocery stores offer microwave meals which are ready in minutes and require no effort from the consumer. These are not the healthiest dishes, so relying on them is not ideal. But what if you are always short of time to cook?
This appliance is capable of reheating food you have cooked ahead. Sometimes it is beneficial to cook food ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator or freezer. After that, you can microwave it for a few seconds, stirring the food to ensure it cooks evenly.
When you have a microwavable at hand, toasting nuts becomes incredibly easy.
It’s worth snacking on healthy foods if you are in the mood to munch. For example, nuts. These things aren’t good for you in large quantities, but they can improve artery health, lower the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure. Eating them more frequently is good for you.
You can use your microwave to toast your nuts. Pour half a teaspoon vegetable oil onto a microwaveable dish, then place your chosen nuts on top. After a minute in the microwave, stir and repeat this process until the nuts are toasted. This could take up to eight minutes.
