Feeling miserable
Jennifer wept non-stop as soon as they arrived home. She did not want to choose between her child and her cat. Eve comforted her. Eve assured Jennifer she would be there for her if they couldn’t be home.
Eve had plenty of time to be their babysitter.
Relieved
Jennifer felt more secure knowing that Luna would be watched over by someone. Jennifer gave birth Lily a couple of weeks later. Luna’s behavior was still strange, but it became even more erratic.
