Brian carefully inspected the entire house, checking every crevice and corner in the hopes of finding the previous owners. Maybe he’d find a hint to their location. They were in a hurry and knew they couldn’t afford to wait any longer. Toby followed suit, as they both surveyed interior through partially-curtain window.
The furniture looked well maintained and there were personal items scattered about. There were personal items all over the place and it appeared that they had been there for a short time. The couple could have been on a stroll in the evening or running errands. The uncertainty gnawed at them, but they had to persevere.
