Dr. Johnson whispered near Veronica’s ear to soothe her gently. While she was falling silent, the faint sounds of people downstairs could be heard. Veronica’s fear and heart rate increased.
They decided to hide in the bedroom until they left. What were they doing in her house, was she okay with her family, and what did their intentions look like?

Dr. Johnson, Veronica and the rest of the staff were trying to hear as well as possible when downstairs there was a commotion – furniture was being thrown around in a mad rush for something. “Yes, I think we’ve found it!” echoed a triumphant outburst.
